Aribeth Evelyn Snow
back to the basics;;
First name: Aribeth
Middle name: Evelyn
Last name: Snow
Nicknames: Snowblind, Ari, Beth...can you think of any other combination?
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Birthday 14th February, 1992
Clique: N/A
Studying for:
A-level equivalent in German, English, French, and Spanish Language.
Personality: Aribeth was, once, a confident person, prior to what she regards as her disfigurement. Although she is still reaonably well esteemed, she does not think of her self in the way she did anymore. Perhaps it's the inability to form long-term relationships, or just the fact that she looks (or thinks she looks) nasty. She is, however, very trusting. Since she's blind, she has to be. Those friends she has, she holds very dear. Without them, she'd be lost. Every single one of them, few as they are, can rely upon Aribeth when they need a shoulder to cry on or a friend to talk to.
Do not make the mistake of thinking that she is in some way weak-willed or will take punishment easily; when someone insults her, they can expect a hurtful, witty respose. Should someone even have the temerity to hurt her emotionally, Aribeth will not rest until she has had her vengeance; she is both patient and criminally vindictive when she decides that she dislikes someone.
History: Born on the 14th February, 1992, in Kettering General Hospital, England, Aribeth spent her first decade of life travelling to pretty much everywhere in Europe, picking up a quick gift for linguistics. Although her family spent most of their time in Germany and the Scandanavian peninsula, they also travelled through the Balkan states, Spain, France, Poland and Lithuania, a consequence of which is that Aribeth can speak English, French, German, Swedish, Polish, Danish, Norwegian, and a few other languages, although not fluently as per those above.
Understandably, these talents are impressive, and marked her out in her extended family as a particularly gifted child. Her brother, Miroslav, decided to stay in Munchen with their grandparents, at this time aged 15, when the Snows and their 10-year-old daughter decided to move to America (land of oppurtunity and the biblically fat, a phrase Joachim has become fond of). Specifically, a small town in the Rockies. Her german family quickly became integrated, and left the old way of moving from place to place. The young girl, however, was simply glad of being able to make friends she could keep for more than three weeks.
Content to stay there for the rest of her foreseeable life, the niave, now happy young girl was in a woodwork lesson on the 16th June, working on removing a circle from a large peice of wood in order to begin building a wall-clock when the rotary blade on the bench shattered. Due to shoddy safety gear and truly atrocious luck, the shards of metal struck Aribeth in the eyes. She fell down, and her feild of vision was clouded over by the blood bleeding profously from her eyes and forehead.
When she woke up and attempted to open her eyes, she couldn't see a thing; she was blind. Her doctor explained to her that the shards in her eyes had left too much damage, and when they were removed there were visible scratches and dents in both of them, and, unlike the wounds in her forehead, they would not heal. They were bound, and although she would never see the injuries, or indeed any injury ever again, the reaction she heard from her mother was enough to force Aribeth to wear some sort of binding all of the time, hence why she is always found, when outside, with what was once a sleeve or something similar tied around her eyes. Sometimes, she'll go neon with it, or if at a formal occasion will go out and buy something specifically from stores for the blind designed for that very purpose.
After her initial few days in A&E, moved up to a ward, Aribeth's boyfriend dropped in, not with a kind word or bunch of grapes but instead a rather hurtful comment. One which went roughly along the lines of 'Your eyes look like they've been in a blender, and I can't afford to go out with someone looking like that. I've got my reputation to think of." It was those comments which pushed Aribeth into her first lesbian activites, and in three years she is still not sure what she prefers. It conflicts with her catholic upbringing, certainly.
Earlier this year, in order to finish her language qualifications and to be closer to her brother (Miroslav), Aribeth moved back to Munchen, then down to Kleine Munchen, and hopes to become an EU interpreter. If that isn't something else blindness is a block to...

give me more;;
Sexual Orientation: Aribeth isn't decided, but after that guy, there would have to be a real gentleman who she was genuinely in love with to change her mind about leaning slightly towards her own gender.
Played by:
Family:
Father: Joachim Snow, formerly Joachim Schweinstiger, former Bundeswehr Panzerkampfwagen gunner. Discharged from the Bundeswehr after injury at the age of 35, the now 47-year old man is not only a supportive father, he is also an engineer, turning experience in the Bundeswehr into a source of cash. Although he spends very little time with his family, he tries to be an attentive parent.
Mother: Evelyn Snow, tailor. Having given birth to Aribeth at the age of 30, she has pursued a reasonably sucsessful career in tailoring, with a small internet buisness, making formalware to order. She is indoors more often than Joachim, but Aribeth has so far refused to tell either of them about her relationships, especially with members of her own gender.
Brother: Miroslav Snow, soldier. See Canons list and Characters.
